A Mega Millions ticket sold in Michigan won $1 million, just missing the $62 million jackpot, lottery officials said. The tickets matched five winning numbers, but not the Mega Ball, in the drawing Tuesday, Jan. 7, the national Mega Millions site said.

The Mega Millions jackpot for Tuesday’s lottery drawing has jumped to an estimated $62 million with a cash option of $27.4 million. The drawing will be held at 10:59 p.m. and televised on WABC-7 in New York City and Fox 29 in Philadelphia. NJ.com will publish the winning numbers immediately following the conclusion of the drawing.

According to Ohio Lottery documents, someone in Ohio purchased a Mega Millions ticket worth $10,000. The winning ticket matched four out of five numbers plus the Mega Ball in the Tuesday, Jan. 8 drawing, the lottery reported. But, details on where in Ohio the winning ticket was sold were not immediately released.

The Arizona Lottery offers multiple draw games for those aiming to win big. Arizona offers Powerball, Mega Millions, The Pick, Triple Twist, Fantasy 5 and Pick 3 as well as Scratchers, Quick Draw and Fast Play.

“We know that many people will likely receive tickets to Friday’s drawing as holiday gifts, and what a gift that would turn out to be if you ended up with a ticket worth a $1.15 billion jackpot,” Joshua Johnston, lead director for the Mega Millions Consortium, said in a news release before the jackpot rose again to $1.22 billion.
