The Tigers made things look easy as they led by as many as 17 in the first half and never let the Wildcats get back in the game. A former K-State basketball player led a balanced attack for LSU, with Cam Carter scoring 20 points in his return to the Octagon of Doom.

LSU was led by Cam Carter who had a team-high 20 points, shooting 6 of 10 from the field and 3 of 6 from beyond the arc. Sears had 13 points, six rebounds and five assists. Vyctorius Miller had the best game of his young freshman career with 14 points on 6-of-9 shooting from the field.
